He earned his DNB in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Grewal Eye Institute, where he trained under renowned mentors like Dr. Grewal and Dr. Brar. His career further expanded internationally through training and consultant positions with the UK NHS (Cambridgeshire), Harley Street, London, and CHEC UK, where he honed his expertise in Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS).
Dr. Baweja is India’s first and only surgeon certified in four MIGS devices — iStent Inject, OMNI, Hydrus, and Preserflo — and also the only surgeon in the country certified for advanced pinhole glaucoma surgery.
